CCI traces its history through the UK and NICC Inc, which was founded in the USA in 1986 to satisfy the order requirement of the PA NY/NJ (Port Authority New York/New Jersey) for Phase 1 of LGA Airport under runway refurbishment, and later Florida Light and Power for the protection of high voltage mono and multi piles high voltage transmission towers. In 1996 the company changed its name to CCI LLC and was acquired by Slickbar in 1996. In 2008 Lamor Group acquired Slickbar and therfore also the CCI business. In 2009 Lamor spun off the CCI business division to a newly founded Finnish based Company, CCI Oy.
Since 2009 CCI Oy has developed into multinational corporation with global presence.
